What is your favourite musical memory?
Standing in the wings at Covent Garden watching Act 2 of La Boheme – my friends King Charles Spaniel was playing the part of Musettas dog and I had tagged along.
Why did you decide on your instrument?
I didn't, I wanted to play the oboe but the wind peri teacher (who conducted the local youth orchestra) had other ideas !
What is the most memorable performance you’ve given and why/highlight of your career?
Lots of high points, can't single any one out.
In your opinion, which piece of music is a must-have for the CD collection, classical or otherwise?
Again, too many to choose from but probably would be something of JS Bach
Which musician(s) have you most enjoyed playing with?
This will sound cheesy but getting back together with old friends from Lancashire Schools S.O. In the Lancashire Sinfonietta has been fantastic ! A bit like putting on an old glove !
