Tell us what you do for the Sinfonietta?
As well as playing the trumpet I also create and deliver education projects for the orchestra.
What is the best thing about working for an orchestra?
I think the people, the life and the level we work at in many areas. Second to none.
What is the worst?!
The hours, the pay for those amount of hours and the travelling.
What is your favourite moment or performance of the Sinfonietta?
I have enjoyed many but my favourite was a performance of carnival of the animals for 2000 children, African drummers story tellers, bollywood dancer and hip hop artist. An interactive concert I had the great privilege of presenting and working with all the children.
In your opinion, which piece of music is a must-have for the CD collection, classical or otherwise?
Mozart Symphony No.40, Beethoven Symphony No.7 and Mozart Symphony No.41
Which musician(s) have you most enjoyed working with?
All in the orchestra and the various different leaders, many of the musicians from different genres ie Hungarian artists, Alfie Boe.
In your opinion, which piece of music most embodies the spirit of Lancashire?
Land of the Mountain and the Flood by Hamish Mcunn
